Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, Eagles Mere is nestled in the Endless Mountains of Northern Pennsylvania. Beginning in the 1880s through the present, Eagles Mere thrived as a resort community for the “well to do.” UJMN Architects + Designers designed the exhibits for the new Eagles Mere Museum, which focus on “The Lake and It’s Legacy.”

The exhibits take visitors back in time where they encounter the early settlers, the rise of the resort era, and the cultural and recreational attractions of the town over many decades. A recreation of the town’s boardwalk and a display of photos and artifacts such as: athletic trophies; playbills and posters touting evening entertainment; a sled from the famed Ice Toboggan Slide; and a history of the six major Victorian hotels and the summer “cottages” all give a sense of what it was like to summer here. The exhibits conclude by endeavoring the visitor to partake in the preservation of Eagles Mere’s enduring legacy.
